Making a Come Back

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hello everyone!

After losing Angel, I have not been writing as frequently as I want to. Angel impacted Life with Ragdolls more than I thought she would, after all she was a Persian...not a Ragdoll. ;-)
She will be dearly missed.

Life with Ragdolls will be returning more often with weekly content in 2018 when I enter my fifth year of blogging. Wait...fifth year?! It seems just yesterday I was a clueless novice overjoyed with my first post, my first review, my first guest star on another website, my first comment, my first mention in another website.
I am aiming to be having a consistent schedule of posts every Saturday and Wednesday.

In Memory of Angel: February 22, 2003 - September 5, 2017

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

It has taken me awhile to write this, Angel was diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma cancer on August 31, 2017. It is a very aggressive cancer and unfortunately there is no cure.

My dear Persian Mobile died in my lap in her favorite blanket on September 5, 2017 at 12:18 AM. She went so peacefully and the last words she heard were that I love her no matter what.
The days leading up to her death, I let her enjoy her favorite things one more time. Cooked rabbit and pasta; one of her favorite "treats". Watching Criminal Minds, snuggling in her favorite blanket, playing with her favorite toys, watching Rescue Me, reading Stephen King, reading John Lutz, were a few, oh and eating lightly salted popcorn she loved too. Angel was born blind in both eyes but that didn't stop her from being a normal animal.
Angel is being privately cremated with her ashes returned to me.

Thank you my love for everything you helped me get through in life and helped accomplish with this blog. You will be missed dearly and loved forever and always. <3

Angel went by the nicknames of Persian, Persian Mobile, Angel Cakes, My Little Persian, Sweet Fluffy Persian, Oh Little Persian Mobile, Persian Mobile O's, Persie,  Crusty Persian Mobile (she'd get canned food stuck to her face a lot), Ancient Persian Mobile, Ancient Persian, The Almighty Persian Mobile.

Persian was smart, loving, playful, friendly, amusing, and always by my side. Angel loved everyone and everything (even her vet). She never bit, tried to scratch, or hiss. She loved other cats, kids, dogs, strangers and just about everyone! A heart of gold.

Persian Mobile will be dearly missed. I'll love you forever, my sweet Angel.

3 Years Ago Today, I Lost My Nico

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

When the light ends for all hope and you must say goodbye, goodbye to my Nico started 3 years ago today. For those of you that are new, Nico was part of my inspiration for Life with Ragdolls when it started 4 years ago today. Nico was our beloved star for 2 years before he lost his battle to genetic heart disease on July 14, 2014. Nico was only 5 years old when it was his time. He captured the hearts of many, from as close to us as Dothan, AL to as far away as New Zealand. There is a famous painting of Nico in Rome. The news of his death brought over 60,000 thousand views in under one day. He will be missed.

Thank you for everything Nico. You were amazing. I love and miss you always.

Review Day: Primal Freeze Dried Cat Treats

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a review for the Primal Freeze Dried Cat Treats , I reviewed the beef liver variety. These treats come in 3 flavors: beef liver, turkey liver, and pork liver. These treats are sourced from The United States of America and New Zealand. These treats are appropriate for both dogs and cats. These treats are made without added salt, sugar, grains, gluten, hormones, and antibiotics. Perfect for my spoiled crowd of 5. ;-)

These treats are currently available for $6.99 for a 2 oz bag. These make awesome training treats for the cats and perfect for when I travel and need to put them in their carriers. I just wish these treats were easier to break up! Nevertheless though, the cats love them crumbled over their canned food.

Sadly this picture sucks because it was raining the day I took it and worse, I only have one picture to post due to Anya eating through the bag!

Pros:

* Fast shipping.

* Great customer service.

* All 4 of the cats loved them ( Star is the black sheep in the family and didn't approve of these).

* High quality ingredients.

* Little smell.

*  Resealable bag.

* 3 flavors to choose from.

Cons:

* Expensive for 2 ounces.

* Star did not like these and would only eat 1.

Over all, the cats and I rate this a 4.2 star product and I will be buying these again.

Review Day: Blue Buffalo Wilderness Wild Cuts Canned Cat Food

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi Everyone!

I am just now able to comment and blog more. Sorry! I've been crazy busy with my other new website (don't worry, Life with Ragdolls is still shinning. ;-)

Today I have a review for the Blue Buffalo Wilderness Wild Cuts Cat Food , I reviewed the duck variety and this food is available in 3 varieties: duck, chicken, and salmon. I have reviewed the chicken before ( I can't find the post or link but I believe I reviewed it back in December 2015 or 2014. Some where around that time frame. Haha).
The duck flavor is available currently for $28.39 for a 24 pack that is 3 ounces per pouch. This food is a food topper\mixer\supplement and is not made to be a complete cat food. I am a food nerd in general (human food, cat food, rabbit food, and even the food for my betta fishes is super special) ;-)
Lately, I have been researching the importance of cats on a wet food only diet and I've shown great interest in switching my 5 cats to a all canned food menu. Unfortunately though, they still have a lot of kibble to go through before I can make the full switch to just canned food. There are some brands of cat kibble that I really like so maybe I will do kibble monthly?

Pros:

* Fast shipping.

* Great customer service.

* All 5 of the cats loved it.

*  Grain free.

* 3 flavors to choose from.

* Blue Buffalo is one of my favorite brands and they also market dog food (canned and kibble), cat food (canned and kibble), and cat litter. So many choices!

Cons:

* At almost $30 for a food that is not a complete cat food diet, this makes it very expensive to feed daily and each pouch is only 3 ounces.

* Although this time I only reviewed the duck flavor, I have reviewed the chicken flavor in the past and only Angel ate it.

* It stinks.

Over all, the cats and I rate this a 4.5 star product. Due to the smell of it and the cost, I won't be buying this often. My heart says yes but my wallet says no. ;-)

Review Day: Taste of The Wild River Canyon Canned Cat Food

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a review for the Taste of The Wild River Canyon canned cat food, this cat food is available as of April 9th, 2017 (the night this review was wrote) for $16.56 for 24 cans that are 3 ounces or $30.96 for 24 cans that are 5.5 ounces. Taste of The Wild has two flavors of canned cat food and two flavors of kibble cat food; River Canyon and Rocky Mountain. Taste of The Wild markets cat canned food, cat kibble, dog kibble, and canned dog food.

Taste of the Wild is what I feed my cats 80% of the time. It agrees with everyone and really helps bring down Star's allergies. Cordoba is very picky about kibble but she just loves this! Anya has a sensitive stomach and this is gentle on her.

Pros:

* Fast shipping.

* Good customer service.

* Comes in two flavors.

* Surprisingly all 5 of the cats loved this food. Star tends to hate any canned food other than pate (this is cuts). Nevertheless it was gone in 5 minutes!

* Okay pricing.

* Comes in either 3 oz cans or 5.5 oz cans.

Cons:

* Smells bad.

* Loaded with carbs which are awful for cats. Cats don't require carbs and only 3% - 5% of their diet should be carbs.

Review Day: Tiki Cat King Kamehameha Luau Canned Cat Food

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a review for the Tiki Cat King Kamehameha Luau canned cat food. It is a variety pack of 12 consisting of 6 flavors, each can is 2.5 oz and this variety pack is priced currently at $11.77. It is a shredded food.

Sadly I only have one can to show and that is because I used them all since I forgot this was a review! O.0

Looks tasty....not haha.

Pros:

* Fast shipping.

* Good customer service.

*  6 flavors.

* Grain free.

* The cats generally love Tiki Cat.

Cons:

* Expensive for 2.5 oz cans in only a 12 pack.

* Gave all the cats diarrhea.

* Star disliked all but one of the flavors.

* Smells awful!!!

* None of the cats were crazy about any of the flavors really and they're generally not picky at all and tend to love Tiki Cat.

Overall, the cats and I rate this a 2.5 star product and I likely won't be buying this.

Review Day: Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings Cat Food

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a quick review for the Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings canned cat food, I chose the chicken with goat milk, although there are other choices like; tuna and goat milk, salmon and goat milk, chicken liver and goat milk, shrimp and goat milk and white fish and goat milk. To be honest, I was quite hesitant to try this product when I was offered it because milk gives all the cats stomach upsets (welcome to my world!) but I thought I'd let them give it a go try, it turns out they love it! Also, it did not make them sick at all. It is currently priced at $8.34 for a 6 pack.

Pros:

* All the cats loved it.

* Great for Angel since she is older and can't chew as well anymore.

* Fairly priced.

* Grain and gluten free.

* Comes in 6 flavors to choose from.

* Fast shipping.

* Good customer service.

* It didn't make the cats sick.

Cons:

* Misleading. According to Chewy.com, this product is made in North America, the label says Thailand.

* Due to Thailand origin,  I probably won't be buying this.

* These are not cans but rather cups. They're too small at under 3 oz.

The cats and I rate this a 4.3 star product.

Review Day: Nutramax Cosequin Original Joint Health Supplement

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi everyone,

Today I was given the choice to review the Nutramax Cosequin Original Cat Joint Health Supplement
As of February 22th, 2017 (the day this was wrote) it is on sale now for $8.96 for 30 capsules. Cats under 10 lbs get one a day, cats over 10 lbs get two a day. You can sprinkle it on food or  you force it down their throats since it apparently tastes god awful ; )

Pros:

* Fast shipping.

* Good customer service.

* It seems to work well.

* Cheap.

* Vet recommend brand.

* Good for cats of all ages.

Cons:

* I wish it came in a larger pack.

Note: I received a free product in an exchange for an honest review. All pictures, opinions and text are my own. No part of Life with Ragdolls shall be used without my permission first.

Review Day: Petstages Tower of Tracks Cat Toy

All Photo and Text Copyright Life with Ragdolls 2013 - 2017

Hi everyone!

Sorry for our absence. . . I have been quite busy again! One of my Giant Chinchilla rabbit does had a litter of 9 born on 1-25-2017 (more about that later next week).

Today will be a rather short review unfortunately because of limited time. I was sent the Petstages Tower of Tracks Cat Toy to review for the girls. I love Petstages. They're a good brand and many of the cats' toys are made by Petstages. Nico's favorite firefly glow in the dark cat toy ball was made by them. The Petstages Tower of Tracks Cat Toy is currently for sale on Chewy.Com for $13.99 (and they're out of stock).

Pros:

* Fast shipping.

* Great customer service.

* Very sturdy.

* Fair price.

* Petstages brand is a long time favorite of the cats' and mine.

* Non-skit traction pads under the toy to prevent it falling over as the cat plays.

Cons:

* Loud!

Suggestions\improvements I'd like to see in this product are:

Different color options. Quieter all around. Harder levels.

Overall the cats and I rate this a 4 star product. I may or may not buy this again. Decision pending. . .

NOTE: I received a free product in an exchange for an honest review. All photos, text, and opinions are my own. No part of Life with Ragdolls may be used, edited, or published without written permission from me first.
